HELPING YOU ACHIEVE SUCCESS
GIC uses a unique process to assist aspiring business innovators.
Our program is based on methods developed in conjunction with the Conway Innovation Center, and its community economic development partners. GIC will help innovators evaluate the commercial or licensing potential of their idea. GIC will assist in preliminary assessments of commercial viability, risk evaluation, prototype and modeling of development costs over a twelve-month timeframe.
Innovation may follow several paths to success. We understand and value the idea that it is not the goal of every innovator to form a business or participate in the commercialization of their product. That's why we work closely with key stakeholders to develop successful strategies for a range of scenarios to ensure the innovator has an equal opportunity to achieve success. Possible strategies include helping form partnerships or creating a de novo company.
GIC offers free business seminars for current and prospective business owners.
If you are thinking about starting a business but aren’t quite ready to jump in, then this seminar is for you. We will discuss the considerations prospective business owners should analyze before beginning including, vision, marketing and financial planning,
This seminar is the kick-off to an eight session business and financial readiness series which will help current and prospective business owners delve into the details of business planning. Topics covered will be, business structures, licensing and permitting, insurance, bookkeeping, financial reporting, social media marketing and microlending. See our website for a complete list of courses.
